How to use Nero Express


How to copy an Audio CD with Nero Express




1. Insert a blank recordable CD into the CD writer drive.
2. Insert the Audio CD that you want to copy into the other drive.
3. If a box comes up asking what you want to do with the CD, just click "Cancel".
4. If the CD starts playing in a Media Player, stop it and close the Media Player.
5. Click on the Nero StartSmart icon.
6. Click the Star icon (Favourites) and then click "Copy Disc".
7. A box headed "Nero Express" and "Select source and destination" will open.
8. Check that the two drives shown are correct.
9. Click the "Burn" button.
10. When it asks "Would you like to retrieve artist/title etc.", click "No"
11. When the process is complete a box will say "Burn process completed successfully". Click OK.
12. Then click "Next" then "Exit". CDs will be ejected automatically.
13. If it asks "Do you want to save your project?", click "No"
14. Click to exit the coloured Nero box.


How to make an Audio CD compilation with Nero Express

1. Insert a blank recordable CD into the CD writer drive.
2. Insert an Audio CD that you want to copy tracks from into the other drive.
3. If a box comes up asking what you want to do with the CD, just click "Cancel".
4. If the CD starts playing in a Media Player, stop it and close the Media Player.
5. Click on the Nero StartSmart icon.
6. Click the Star icon (Favourites) and then click "Make Audio CD".
7. A box headed "Nero Express" and "My Audio CD" will open.
8. Click the "Add" button.
9. A box will open headed "Select Files and Folders".
10. In the Location box, make sure that the drive with the Audio CD in is selected (if it isn't already).
11. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and select the tracks that you want to copy.
12. Click the "Add" button.
13. When it asks "Would you like to retrieve artist/title etc.", click "No"
14. When it asks you to "Enter Source CD name" - just click OK.
15. The tracks will be read into the PC's memory.
16. Click "Finished" to go back to the box headed "Nero Express" and "My Audio CD".
17. Put another Audio CD into the drive.
18. Repeat actions 3 and/or 4 above if necessary.
19. Repeat actions 8 to 16 above until you have completed your compilation.
20. Click "Next"
21. Make sure that the CD writer drive is selected as "Current recorder".
22. Click the "Burn" button.
23. When the process is complete a box will say "Burn process completed successfully". Click OK.
24. Then click "Next" then "Exit". CDs will be ejected automatically.
25. If it asks "Do you want to save your project?", click "No"
26. Click the Exit button to close the coloured Nero box.


How to burn an ISO-image with Nero

1. Launch Nero.
2. Choose File, Burn Image and you'll be presented with a dialog box.
3. Click on the Files of type: dropdown box and select All Files (*.*).
4. Select the .ISO file that you want to burn then press Open.
5. Next,
       Nero will show another dialog box of CD burning options. Accept the defaults:
      
        Type of Image: Data Mode 1
        Block size (Bytes): 2048
        Image header (Bytes): 0
       Image trailer (Bytes): 0) 

6. Choose OK.
7. The Write CD dialog box should appear next.
8. Make sure Write, Finalize CD, and Disc-At-Once are checked, then choose Write.

Note:
You must use the "Finalize CD" and "Disc-At-Once" option in Nero, or you will get the error: "FATAL ERROR: Installation of side by side assemblies failed" during setup.
